In a previous blog I mentioned that in a family of more than one child the children’s names often start with the same letter. I also observed that if there is a third child that trend may not continue. Well, I have found an amazing example of such a phenomenon.

In August an Arkansas couple had a baby daughter called Jennifer. It was the seventeenth child for Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. “We’d love to have more,” Michelle said.

The children’s names all begin with J and I guess they’ll keep on having kids until they run out of names beginning with J. Here are the names of the children :-
Joshua, John David and Janna (twins), Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah and Jeremiah (twins), Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer.
Being fundamentalist Christians they probably will never choose Jezebel or Jesus but there are plenty of names left and the good thing is they live debt-free, which is quite an achievement.

I never imagined that I would be handed such a good example of my “brilliant” if trivial observation and I’m very grateful to the Duggars.
